Step 1: Engineered Foundation

All sunrooms, patio covers, additions, and screen rooms require engineering to meet minimum wind loading of 100 mph in Hampton Roads and 130 mph in most North Carolina cities, along with continuous footings. We start by pouring concrete footings and ensuring they pass city inspection before moving forward.

Step 2: Framing the Structure

Next, we frame the deck foundation and open deck area and complete a deck framing inspection. If your home is built on a slab, your sunroom or screen room can be installed on a monolithic slab and footing. Once the foundation is in place, we begin erecting the walls of your new sunroom.

Step 3: Windows, Doors & Roof Installation

Once the walls of your enclosure are up, we install all custom-made windows and doors. From there, we install your roof, bringing your year-round room close to completion.

Measured With Precision For A Better Fit

Our sunrooms are custom-built to offer up to 98% more view per square foot compared to other sunroom companies. This is made possible by our precise manufacturing process, which allows us to create windows and doors in 1/8" increments, ensuring a truly customized design tailored to your space.

Unlike other companies that rely on standard-sized windows and doors, we craft each piece to fit your sunroom perfectly. This eliminates the need for filler panels, which not only detract from the appearance but also reduce insulation quality. With our approach, your sunroom seamlessly integrates with your home, both aesthetically and functionally.

Step 4: Electrical & Comfort Features

We wire and install electrical outlets, lights, and fans, along with an optional heating and cooling system for your all-season sunroom. We also handle permits and inspections for all electrical work.

Step 5: Finishing Touches

ECCO Sunroom & Awning offers installed finished flooring for your sunroom or porch conversion, completing the look and feel of your new space.

Step 6: Final Inspections & Enjoyment

Last but not least, we complete final electrical and building inspections to ensure everything meets code. Then it’s time to enjoy your new sunroom from ECCO Sunroom & Awning.
