ECCO Awnings offer solar drop screens in a variety of solar mesh colors and opacities to provide additional sun protection and privacy. You can add a drop shade to your motorized retractable awning with projections up to 11 feet, 8 inches and providing over 4 feet of additional vertical shade.
LED Light Kit
Further customize your awning with an LED light kit to increase your outdoor enjoyment well into the night. ECCO Awning offers customized awnings with LED light kits that integrate into the arms on the underside of your awning in select models. When you choose a motorized awning, the LED light kit can be controlled with the same remote control that extends and retracts your awning.

Installing A Retractable Awning

Before you decide to install a retractable awning kit yourself, it is important that you are an experienced do-it-yourselfer who has done your homework. Make sure that you have the proper tools and materials you need. Ensure that you have measured properly, are mounting to an appropriate section of your home, and have appropriate access to electricity if installing a motorized awning.

Our step-by-step installation guide provides instructions for an easy and safe installation. It depends on the type of DIY awning kit you choose, but generally speaking, Awning Kits by ECCO include the awning, mounting brackets, mounting board cover, and installation manual. Some models include a motor, preprogrammed wireless remote control, and electrical cord with antenna.
You will need to supply a mounting board (a 2 x 6) and mounting bolts in order to attach the mounting board to the exterior of your home (wall, roof, or soffit).
You will need additional install materials such as a screw gun, impact gun, or ratchet and sockets to complete installation of your awning – tool selection being dependent upon the surface material you will be installing the awning on to (whether it be brick, siding, wood siding etc.).
Awning Kits by ECCO can be mounted on a roof, a framed wall, or a brick veneer wall. With brick, you will need to run the anchors all the way through the masonry work into the framing on the house. Awnings should not be mounted underneath an overhang or onto the facia of a house. A facia is where the gutter would be attached.
