Do you have an outdoor space that you barely use?
Whether it’s a porch, screen porch, enclosed porch, deck, elevated deck, or patio, ECCO Sunroom & Awning can transform it into a beautiful 3 Season or Year Round Sunroom. Instead of letting heat, cold, pollen, bugs, and unpredictable weather keep you inside, enjoy the feeling of the outdoors with comfort and protection all year long.
Converting your existing structure into a sunroom is often far less expensive and much faster than building a brand-new addition. Homeowners across Hampton Roads and Northeastern North Carolina are upgrading their underused outdoor spaces into functional, light-filled retreats that add comfort, usable square footage, and value to their homes.
Made to seamlessly integrate with the exterior of your home, ECCO can design your sunroom roof with gable, single-slope, or using an existing roof structure. Roof material options include wood, glass, or shingle to match your home.
There are several window and door options for your custom sunroom by ECCO. Depending on your room you may elect 4-track vinyl vertical windows, double-pane or single-pane insulated glass, or screens. Screens included standard with all window options. Color tinting options are available with select glass window choices. Door and window rolling systems include options designed to ensure that windows and doors roll effortlessly based on your room specifications. Select the single or dual-point locking system designed for your room with safety in mind.
Your sunroom by ECCO can be designed with an aluminum or vinyl frame. Frame colors come in a variety of options including, white, sandstone and bronze.
Consider an electrical package to run electricity throughout your sunroom. Provide year-round comfort with a heating and cooling system. Enhance ambiance in your sunroom with select ceiling fans and custom lighting options. Choose from a variety of flooring options and blinds or window treatments to create your sunroom's custom look and style.
We hired ECCO Sunroom & Awning to replace our easy breeze wall system in our sunroom and the results are incredible. From start to finish, the team was professional prompt and communicative. They finished on time. Everyone was very professional and each the day the area inside and out was left immaculate. I highly recommend ECCO for any sunroom improvement project.
We had a screened in porch converted into a 3 season sunroom (a portable baseboard heater warms the room in cool weather). I could not be happier. I was tired of painting the wood frame of our screened in porch every year, and this year, the frame rotted and the screens needed replacing. I now have aluminum frame and windows. Jeff listened to me and helped me design the sunroom of my dreams.
ECCO had the best design and materials for our screen porch upgrade. We were able to replace structural supports that were beginning to rot at their base with aluminum columns. The design also allowed us to replace screen door with a slider to improve access. Door and window hardware with locks were superior to the other two contractors. Jeff was the only contractor that showed us design layout at our initial meeting.
Love, love our new sunroom. Jeff was our design consultant and was easy to work with. We did a porch conversion so things moved quickly. The quality of the product is very good and sturdy. No more yellow pollen for us! Highly recommend.
We recently converted our screened porch into a sunroom. We are delighted with the finished room! ECCO staff and workers were prompt, professional, friendly and eager to make sure we got what we wanted. The sliding windows and screen are top quality and very easy to open and securely lock. We highly recommend doing business with ECCO!
Compliments to everyone on the Ecco Remodeling team for a beautiful outcome on our converted screened porch. I was able to receive an excellent financing option, our sales rep was knowledgeable and helpful. But particular thanks are extended to our installers for a job well done and to the office manager who handled some hiccups with promptness and professionalism. I highly recommend this company for sunroom remodeling.

We understand that a home project can be overwhelming. That’s why the ECCO Sunroom team puts our customers first every step of the way. Our goal is to help you design your dream sunroom space and build it as though it was always a part of your home. To ease the stress that a new home project brings, read about ECCO Sunroom’s process of creating custom sunrooms.
Everything starts with a no-cost, no-obligation in-home design consultation. This important meeting sets the project up for success. Because each sunroom is custom manufactured and custom designed to your home, there are many variables that need to be considered before your design consultant can quote you an accurate price. The in-home design consultation allows your designer to assess the space, ask questions to recommend the right products for you, and develop a personalized plan for your project. Based on the agreed upon project’s scope, your design consultant will recommend the right room to fit your home, lifestyle and budget.
What happens at your in-home design meeting?
Our experienced design consultants manage every aspect of your project to ensure it matches your vision and fits your budget.
There are three phases of the construction process: Pre-build, manufacture and material delivery, and installation.
During the pre-build phase we will take detailed measurements, attain all necessary building permits and HOA regulation compliance, prepare the site, and order materials. While other companies use stock-size pre-fab pieces to build their sunrooms, our sunrooms are truly custom projects. We custom manufacture the materials for each sunroom we build – ensuring you a perfect fit for your unique space.
Once the materials are ordered and delivered, our team will expertly install and construct your sunroom. We are a Virginia Class “A” contractor. Our team is licensed and insured at the highest level. From start to finish ECCO’s team of professional installers and carpenters will ensure the highest quality workmanship. From start to finish, our team will communicate with you every step of the way, ensuring you are aware of the project timeline as the construction unfolds. Our goal is to create your dream sunroom and build it as though it was designed with the house.
We offer the best warranties in the business on all of our products. We confidently offer the ECCO Limited Lifetime Warranty on all our sunrooms, solariums, and screen rooms. This warranty covers all manufactured products including glass, roof panels, framing, sealing and more. Ask your design consultant for more information.

The ECCO Sunroom & Awning team were featured on WAVY-TV’s Hampton Roads Show explaining how homeowners can transform an underused porch or patio into a sunroom – half the cost and half the time of a custom sunroom addition.
Absolutely! Sunrooms keep pets safe from harsh weather, bugs, and outdoor hazards while giving them plenty of sunshine and backyard views.
Yes! A knee wall is a great place to install a pet door so your dog can easily access the backyard.
If it is built correctly, it is possible to build a sunroom onto an existing deck. However, most of the time we find that the existing deck requires an upgrade to bring it in compliance for a sunroom addition. We prefer to remove the existing deck and replace it altogether. When our team rebuilds the deck as well as the sunroom addition, we can warranty our work from the ground up. If we build a sunroom addition onto an existing deck, we cannot warranty the deck and sunroom foundation structure.
Yes! ECCO Sunroom & Awning sells custom shading systems that will help maintain the perfect indoor temperature for your new sunroom. During your initial consultation, ECCO Sunroom & Awning will discuss the various styles and types of shades and blinds that are available for your project.
Yes. In fact, 40% of the sunrooms that we build include heating and air conditioning. Adding an HVAC element is typically what you would call a year-round or four seasons sunroom. In addition to an HVAC system, a year-round sunroom includes insulated glass, and extra insulation in the roof and foundation.
Unfortunately, no, you cannot heat your new sunroom with an existing furnace. If you desire heat in your new sunroom, we can install a separate zone heating and air conditioning unit – depending on the type of room you choose.
Yes, depending on the type of sunroom you choose, and your geographical location, your sunroom can be used year-round. ECCO Sunroom & Awning offers several styles of sunrooms which are designed to be heated and cooled – making the room comfortable throughout the year.
Our aluminum and vinyl all season (four season) sunrooms are designed with thermally engineered, energy-efficient frames, double-pane insulated glass and our Energy Star® rated 6″ insulated roof to keep you comfortable all year long.
During your initial consultation, ECCO Sunroom & Awning will discuss options to help you make your dream a reality during the free, no obligation, in-home design consultation.
Yes, you can add air conditioning to a sunroom. For a four-season sunroom, HVAC systems are often installed, allowing you to regulate the temperature in the space. For three-season sunrooms, you can add a ductless mini-split system or PTAC unit to cool the space. This provides a comfortable environment during the hot summer months, making it more enjoyable year-round.
Ask about adding these on to your next outdoor living project.
